This Cookie Policy explains how AuditCore uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and platform. It supports our Privacy Policy and reflects our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function, remember your session, and understand how the site is used. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels.

2. Categories of cookies we use

• **Essential** — required for the platform to work (e.g. keeping you logged in, security). These cannot be switched off.
• **Functional** — remember preferences to improve your experience.
• **Analytics** — help us understand how the website is used so we can improve it. On our public website we use **Google Analytics 4**.
• **Marketing / advertising** — on our public website we use the **Meta (Facebook) Pixel** to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to reach relevant audiences. Marketing cookies are used on our **public marketing website only** — they are **not** used inside the logged-in AuditCore platform, and no participant or health information is sent to advertising providers.

Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel may set additional cookies; see each provider's own cookie documentation for the current list. Analytics and advertising data on the public website is used in aggregate; we do not use it to identify you personally, and we never send it participant or health information.

4. Managing cookies

• **Browser controls:** you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies/local storage will prevent the platform from working.
• **Analytics opt-out:** you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser.
• **Advertising opt-out:** you can manage Meta advertising preferences in your Facebook/Instagram ad settings, and block advertising cookies in your browser.
• We will introduce a cookie-consent banner for non-essential cookies where required.
